I’m a Musicon Celebrity thanks to Maxis Broadband

You know, I've been yearning to be a celebrity, only because that they get the recognition - people seem to know them, wanna snap a picture, and for some reasons, if Imma celebrity material, I don't mind having crowd screaming and going wild for me, especially if they're chicks.. LOL

I've always admire my idol Wang Lee Hom, who's a great singer, composer, and actor. A part from that, even though he's well known, his humble character captures the heart of many as he does things sincerely, and cheerfully. (P/s: No I'm not gay) Alright, alright, other reasons of admiring him... Well duh, it's the crib he has, the fashion he holds, the fame and status he has as a celebrity that makes people pay attention to what he has to tell to the world. I believe if I'm a celebrity, I'll make a difference not only to my current life, but also have the chance to be listened by the world.

Another celebrity that I've been told I look alike is Bi Rain, mostly said because his eyes resembles mine.. Bwahahahaa~ Oh he's Korean by the way. Though I don't understand most of his Korean or English songs, but heck they got nice beats..

Anyhooooo~~ Let's see me in action ei?

This here is taken sometime back (last year I think)

Tell me I don't look cool in any of the pictures, and I'll kill you..
LOL =)

People have always told me that there's no point in being a celebrity, because of all the stress and pressure from the public especially paparazzis. Well, how would they know? Are they even celebrities? I believe if I'm one of the celebrities, like Lee Hom or Bi Rain, I'd be doing just well - just keep things simple, honest and fun! =D

So that's all for my write up on the Nuffnang Music Bash 09.. Hope I'll score an entry to it.. It'll be my first step to celebrity-hood.. LOL~!

A Song in My Heart

I was listening to some sooth-the-beast-music playlist of mine when I came across a song, and I thought I’d share with everyone. It’s a classic song, which I still love until today. The music really sways me, sweetens the heart and eases my mind. Off the record, when I saw myself in the mirror, I saw a different side of me. =)

Title: Only Love

Artist: Trademark

Lyrics:

2am and the rain is falling
Here we are at the crossroads once again
You're telling me you're so confused
You can't make up your mind
Is this meant to be
You're asking me

[chorus]
But only love can stay
Try again or walk away
But i believe for you and me
The sun will shine one day
So i just play my part
Pray you'll have a change of heart
But i can make you see it through
That's something only love can do

In your arms as the dawn is breaking
Face to face and a thousand miles apart
I've tried my best to make you see
There's hope beyond the pain
If we give enough
If we learn to trust

[chorus]

I know if I could find the words
To touch you deep inside
You'll give my dreams just one more chance
To let this be our last goodbye

[chorus]

That's something only love can do

Don't 'cha just love the classic songs?

Marley and Me, I recall something...

Few nights ago, I watched a movie that made me recall something that I had forgotten for a very long time. I watched “Marley and Me”. A movie that was recommended to me by my bestie =) Seriously, when she said that it made her shed tears for the first time watching a movie, I did not really believe it at all. So I had to watch it to find out for myself.

Luckily I had gotten the movie from my friend earlier, and with that I plugged in my earphones and started watching the movie in the middle of the night. Yes, it was middle of the night. (No, I'm not planning on reviewing this movie this time =P)

Never would I think that such a movie would actually make me sit so still to watch it, enjoy every conversation to feel what each character feels. At a point towards the end of the movie, I had my feeling touched with the scene of Marley, who was once a clearance puppy, with his family. Because it reminded me of my pet tortoises I had when I was younger, which I have regrettably forgotten his and her name… I returned home from school one day to find out that they had left to the “other world”, without any signs of leaving. I cried deep inside. And for some reasons that I could not remember, I had never had another pet since then. I guess I couldn’t bare the lost of another pet. The feeling that can’t even be put into words.

Such as memory was sparked when I watched Marley and Me. I’d say it’s a great movie. Thanks for the recommendation, Siew Mei. Even one such as I, could not resist shedding a teardrop towards the end.

Another thing is that the movie itself reminded me much about blogging. “You know what makes it work? What makes it work is that you put yourself into it”. Starting my blog of was simply about “It’s really all about you (me)” and I hope it’ll continue that way as a way to mark my story – be it happy, sad, funny or ridiculous. =)

It Can Still be Used

Submitted all our assignments yesterday, and guess what? Just when my friend sent his work for binding, the guy at the shop clumsily "BINDED" the CD along.

Luckily it still works =D

And we submitted our assignments.. Wootza!
btw, the above CD does not belong to my group..

Wishing You All the Best

Samantha's been going through a 34-(including this week)-stressful-week as she has to sit for an examination which will determine whether or not, she is fit to study abroad. Heck that is indeed a lot of pressure, not only for her, but for me.

Why? First of all, she has bought her air tickets in advance, because of the booking of flight ticket and also the early orientation issues. Also, this examination would be the first and big one that she has to sit for. Other than that, she has promised to do well and make her family and friends (who have put a lot of hope into her) proud.

I wished there was something I could do to help her out. But knowing that I'm not in the same field of study as her, all I could do is just help to cheer her up, even if it might not work. I gave her a surprise call earlier and a scary statement to firstly get her mind off of her work by saying "Hello Samantha... You do not know me but I know you".. I wanted to add in a evil laugh, but Imma coughing so tak jadi (Translate: did not work).. Now how come she does not know my number, you ask? It's simple, she doesn't have my number. I ransake my sis's phone and stole it ask my sis for her number before I decided to call. (Ps: No questions on that, please)

Well, even though she could smile and laugh a moment ago, deep inside I know she still worries and fears a lot for her examination which starts in the morning (several hours from now). So here I'm gonna wish Samantha all the best, best of all, greatest luck, and I'm gonna ask as many people as I know to help me wish for her too...

"Do your very best.. Don't worry, I know you'll do well..
Why? Cause I know, and cause I believe you can"

Double Sigh

Why you ask?
Coz my schedule's so bad, that I'll be missing lotsa events..
In fact, I've already missed a few already..

What's coming up?
Well, Nuffnang's Music Bash 2009 and also,
the Fast&Furious (F&F) 4 Movie Screenings..

Things one on hand maybe going well according to plan, but concurrently on the other hand it's not doing well at all, I'm unable to cope up with friends and events. All these just makes one wanna sigh.. then double sigh..

I wanna go for the F&F 4!
But I guess I won't be able to go for it,
cause I'll be still at work by then...
(what's worse, the job's not confirmed yet)
*sigh*

Hmm, I wonder would be possible for me to join
the nuffnangers for a drink after the movies..
Oh well, have to see whether or not that day,
things would go smoothly or not..
=)

Learn How to Chill from the Pro!

Where ever we go, we have stress to tag along. What ever we do, we end up either tired, sweaty or hangover'd. Haha. Well after today, I've learnt a good lesson - How to chill, even while at work!

Have a look at this... and maybe you could even pick up this trick.

He is CHILLING yo~!
Check it out, if it were to rain,
he already has an umbrella on standby~!

Phailed!

Darn..
Tried to speed up stuff..
Screwed it up..

What happened?
Messed up the design big time..
Idea spoilt already.. *so tak jadi*
Now, have to re-think of a new idea..
Gonna take some-more time now..

Lesson learnt,
Don't rush creativity..

A Tale from A to Z

All I ever wanted was to live a simple and easy life,
But nothing comes easy and simple, as
Complication starts right after something easy if found.
Denying them only makes things worse, cause
Everything right now points out the truth, and
Failure is the thing I faced the most, since I knew the word.
God planned it that way I guess,
His plans are inevitable and non-questionable,
I reluctantly go along as I have no choice.
Joy is what I seek, but there's something..
Keeping me away from my goals, as if,
Lucifer was behind it all, blocking my every road.
Man, this is tiring, hurdling over obstacles and more..
Never say Never is what I was told.
Only lift up your head and start making choices, is the only way.
Procrastination will/should/must come to an end.
Quality work is much needed compared to quantity.
Racing towards success within the shortest time, seems never-ending.
Soon, I'll reach there, and I'll really enjoy to the fullest.
Then whatever sacrifices I'd made or will make, will be worthwhile.
Uncertainties will all be put aside, as they will only drag me down.
Victory shall me mine in the end, don't worry it shan't be long
Wait, and you shall see.
X marks the spot.
You'll know when you see it
Zest and zeal will bring me there!

Alas I got my stash!

I think I've said it for a while, but it seems that my mum has been ignoring what I said. Or maybe it's just that the weather always turn bad on the particular tuesday's?

But today, I finally got what I needed, after a while since I lost it. Yesh~! I got a brand new pair of SHADES. Well, it obviously wasn't RayBan or those of Harley Davidson owner's, since I got them from the pasar malam (aka night market), but hey it was tagged with an Oakley sticker (believe me, it ain't authentic either). So I guess I should be contented with the "Oakley" shades I bought. YEAH, I bought it myself la. I only wanted my mum to come along and give comments. LOL. =D

The "Oakley" shades.. =D

In addition to that, I think I hit the jackpot too!

Got it on the way back.. Mmmm Yummmy~!

Imma have-a new link-a!

After fooling around the net, I had this idea...
Went to Tinyarro.ws and make my link:

(due to some problems with Blogger.com, please kindly
copy this URL and paste it on your address bar and enter to see)

Wootza! Now I have this link to myself..
And it has my name and initials..

*grins*

Back From Lunch!

Just got back from a quick lunch with Suresh and WaiHong. It's been a while since I had lunch with Suresh, and man, does he have lots to say. Hahaha. It was his idea to have lunch, but when we reached there, he said he's on diet. Wtf!

Then he was talking about the Malaysian Dream Girl (MDG2) event that went on last night and how fun it was. Boy, was I getting all envious of him (I wanted to go, but couldn't go for certain reasons). SHOWOFF! lolz.. Also he did mentioned about other events, and how he got to know people from here and there. And also, as I remember clearly, he was talking a whole lot about a girl.. *winks*

Anyways, I had fun listening to all the events activities he was involved with. When I first met him and talked him into blogging, he was still shy and uncertain. But he himself started exploring the world of blogging, the Blogosphere itself, he knew the fun, excitement, and the friends he could find through it. Oh well, he's "grown his own wings now". So dude, go out there explorer more, and have more fun!

And that's where he left, before we could even finish our lunch.. But where did he go to? He went back to classroom *burst into laughter* LOL! Apparently he has a strict lecturer, who would mark him late even if it's a second later (on her watch).

LOL with English

Have you ever wondered why some people have trouble with the English Language?

I found a joke somewhere posted by an anonymous guy (actually it's all over the net now):
_______

Let's face it
English is a stupid language.
There is no egg in the eggplant
No ham in the hamburger
And neither pine nor apple in the pineapple.
English muffins were not invented in England
French fries were not invented in France.

We sometimes take English for granted
But if we examine its paradoxes we find that
Quicksand takes you down slowly
Boxing rings are square
And a guinea pig is neither from Guinea nor is it a pig.

If writers write, how come fingers don't fing.
If the plural of tooth is teeth
Shouldn't the plural of phone booth be phone beeth
If the teacher taught,
Why didn't the preacher praught.

If a vegetarian eats vegetables
What the heck does a humanitarian eat!?
Why do people recite at a play
Yet play at a recital?
Park on driveways and
Drive on parkways

You have to marvel at the unique lunacy
Of a language where a house can burn up as
It burns down
And in which you fill in a form
By filling it out
And a bell is only heard once it goes!

English was invented by people, not computers
And it reflects the creativity of the human race
(Which of course isn't a race at all)

That is why
When the stars are out they are visible
But when the lights are out they are invisible
And why it is that when I wind up my watch
It starts
But when I wind up this observation,
It ends.

Why Jeffro?

Someone Some people came to me with that question..

Duh!
C'mon...
It's a cool nick!

Do you have to ask?
Seriously...

My real name's Jeffrey
with the surname Ong
You put them together: Jeffro =)

There's many people nowadays with the same name,
I guess it's pretty common now..
So to ease off the brain-squeezed-just-to-
think-who-the-heck-this-Jeff-belongs-to,-moments.
I came up with this nick.

Does that answer your question now?
Ish ish ish..

*grins*

Ps: LOL! Just kidding la people..
No offense ya =D

Bag-gies!

Everyday whether there's class or there's work, I seem to carry a number of bags around. These bags were heavy at first, but it's been a while since they've tagged along with me, they eventually became light.

From behind:
My "mother-of-all-my-smaller-bags", BabyNovo's bag (my lappie-bag), [left] her cords' bag (power-cable-bag), [right] our mousie (the mouse-bag) and not to forget BabyShanon's bag (camera-pouch/bag).

I beat the girls in carry bags.. LOL!
*lame-ness*

Choices...

Just as I was reading one of my friend's post earlier, about pushing too hard to achieve, to please and/or to love, she replied my comment stating that everyone has choices and it is the choices that makes us human.

I do agree with she said, just somewhat when given myself a thought, I believe I only have very limited choices. Each choice that I make contradicts the other(s) that I have, and each one would require me to either put aside somethings or leave them behind.

I've been given the opportunity to make my own choices since I was young, only because no one could choose for me after they have heard the reasons/consequences I give behind each choice. In my life, there are no better choices, as each choice leads to different paths. However, at the same time, there was only one choice to make: To choose, or not to choose at all (and be left behind).

As results of my own choices that I've made, I lost quite the freedom to do many other things. Things that I would like to do, things that I want to do, and things that I have to do. Some people think I'm giving too much of an excuse for not wanting to do something about it, but if they were to know what's the truth behind things, they might be able to understand. However, it's subjective to everyone. As for me, I choose not to tell, because even if I told, nothing could be changed.

I've let go of so many things around me. You name it: somewhat, somehow, somewhere, or something, I believe it's lost. Well I hope I'll be some right choices to make for myself one day, and not for others.

"Life is the sum of all choices"
-Albert Camus

"It is our choices that shows what we truly are,
far more than our abilities"
-Anonymous

"When you have a choice to make and
don't make it, that is in itself a choice"
-William James

"The more I look around and listen,
I realized that I'm not all alone.
We are all facing choices that defines us.
No choice. However, messy is without
importance in the overall picture of our lives.
We all at our own age have to claim something,
even if it's only our own confusion.
I am in the middle of growing up and into myself."
-Sabrina Ward Harrison

Choices...

The Broke and the broken(s)..

A while back, my shades broke into two...
and now..
when my backup phone charger breaks too..

*ROAR~*

C'mon tell me that's the last thing to break..

Ish.. I'm already broke..
Now I've to get replacement
for the broken stuffs..

darn it!

Yamcha with Friends..

Last Thursday turned out to be a good night after all... Made plans to have dinner with SiewMei and my friends, WaiHong and Chris. Not only did it go well, but it extended to having supper with them *smiles*.

SiewMei came over right after our (WaiHong and I) class ended, so it was just nice. Handed over the speaker which I had asked from Chris, so that I could give to SiewMei, because she wanted new speakers. Well I couldn't really get her a pair of new ones, but I managed to salvage a pair of old-but-still-working-great speakers from Chris.

Had dinner first, and waited for Chris to finish his night class. After that, head to somewhere in Alam Damai (because SOMEONE's special person lives around there) and grabbed our supper there.

Ate, drank, chatted and laughed a lot!
A great day night it is..

Zombie-fied!

A few days ago, I had this short chat with my friend, Sami (pronounced Sam-mie). He saw my current display picture on MSN, which is the same as the picture on the right-side of my header/banner, and had this idea of ZOMBIE-FYING me.. lol

Well he asked whether or not, would I mind allowing him to do so..
I said "Go ahead, gimme a make-over"

and SO he did... BEHOLD!

How cool is that?

From Short to SHORTER..

Today as I was checking some stuffs online, I came across something very interesting. Not just any URL shrinker, but a shrinker that shrinks URL way more shorter than TinyURL.com

So what's new?
Tinyarro.ws !!

So let's take a look at the difference between these two:

1. When tested with TinyURL, my blog link becomes http://tinyurl.com/ao54mh

Total characters (including http://) is 25 in length.
Characters here are in the form of alphanumeric.

2. When tested with Tinyarro.ws, my blog link becomes http://➡.ws/θΆ΄

(because of Blogger.com's limitation, please kindly copy the URL and paste it into the address bar to check it out)

Total characters (including http://) is 6 in length.
Characters here are in the form of alpha-symbols.

What's best about Tinyarro.ws, is that it's also free and there's no need for any sign up.. =) Also you can select your "arrow" symbol. I find it quite interesting. Another fascinating feature is that it allows you have a short preview (splashpage) of the real destinated URL that you're forwarded to. At the same time, it provides a short link from TinyURL.com, just in case if you're not too familiar with it.. =D

Only drawback of Tinyarro.ws, is that there is a chance of anyone ending up with a "horny turtle" symbol.. LOL!

TRY IT TODAY!
And make the best of it =P
